How to create a Windows Update Shortcut on your desktop in a short number of steps.

  1. Right-click an empty spot on your Desktop
  2. Click New
  3. Click Shortcut
  4. Type or copy from here ms-settings:windowsupdate
Windows Update Shortcut Location
  1. Click Next
  2. Type Windows Update (or whatever you’d like to name the shortcut)
(Name the Windows Update Shortcut)
  1. Click Finish
  2. Done!
